    On The Wings Of Love

I always admire people who have a dream and then turn that dream into a reality through hard work and dedication. Stephen Craig Rowe, a fellow blogger and talented artist and poet had a dream of creating a blog that would capture people's unique creativity from all walks of life around the world. He started FLYING MONKEYS by giving everyone the opportunity to come together in the spirit of brotherly love and unity by working together with a common goal.

For many, it was an ideal situation to express ideas and to relay information because FLYING MONKEYS was void of restrictions, demands, deadlines and obligations.  Each person was basically governed by their own ethics and morals. What resulted was a harmonious conglomeration of many people's views that blended together as a captivating work of art...a collage of ideas and topics from free thinkers and peace seekers from around the world. People gave what they could when they could and it flourished in almost a surrealistic way.

Last year when I took my long hiatus from blogging, I discovered upon my return that FLYING MONKEYS had fallen victim to either human carelessness or from someone's heartless cruelty. Stephen told me that someone had deleted everyone’s work that had made the blog successful. With nothing left, he and his good friend, Sassene tried to salvage what they could and begin again, but they really need our help and support. I hope everyone will stop by FM because I notice that nothing has been posted since February. Sometimes a comment or some other display of support will go a long ways.  If you're interested, please contact Stephen for information regarding how you can become a contributing writer for FLYING MONKEYS. I'm sure all this project needs is a little help from kindred spirits wanting to spread a message of hope, peace and love.

Dear Karen,  The Bellangrath Garden photographs are beautiful!

Dear Karen,  The Blue Angels were in Peoria this weekend for the Prairie Air Show.  On Friday night they had dinner at Jim's Steakhouse.  When the party of 20 was seated I went to the table in my Tuxedo and said in a loud clear voice......." I just want to take a moment to thank you for your Service!"  Then snapped to attention and gave them a crisp salute.  The whole dining room applauded.  I then shook everyones hand and looked them in the eyes as I personally thanked them for their Service.  It was an honor for me to do so.  I also thought how cool it was to meet some of your neighbors.  Smile!  I think I am going to blog about this.  Hope your back is feeling better today and
    As ever be well.

I am still suffering from the loss of my computer through the German ZOLL (customs) Government departments here in Germany are no different than in the USA. The rules are so extensive that no one really knows what they are.
For the past five weeks I have been relegated to borrowing computer time so I have been unable to really visit around to all my Spaces friends but I hope to get back into the community one day. Either I will fix my computer myself when it returns (?) or I will get a new one ($)

I hadn't realized how I missed everyone here till I couldn't stop by anytime I wanted!

Heidi, I'm always pleased to see new abnormally normal faces around here. What gives you the impression i have my shit togther? LOL There are many who might disagree with that! I'll have to thank Stephen for sending you by to check out my blog.  He's such a dear  and we used to chat regularly but it seems since my life has bey that I have barely enought time to do daily necessities.  I know things will get better...the rough times always pass and are replaced with better days.

LJ, thanks! I'm sure you won't be disappointed by participating in whatever way you can.

Politically Incorrect, thank s for supporting FM and I hope you find Spaces  as rewarding as i have.  I've had the good fortune of becoming acquainted with many wonderful people.  I look forward to doing more of the same in the future.

Bruce, Flying monkeys might be right up your alley...a place to go and interact with people from many walks of life.  I hope you consider contributing to the site.  I think we all have something very unique to bring to the table and to share with others.

    Karen,

Thanks for the info on the Flying Monkeys Space.  I went there and left a reply and I can't believe someone would do that.  I guess Jim Morrison said it best "People are Strange, when your a Stranger".  Anyway I hope things have you in a better light and every thing is comming together for you.  Life is just so full of ups and downs that it can be tiring to be on an uphill trend.  Just remember after you have made it up to the top, the coming down is great.  Oh, and thanks reply, I know you are lacking time to write now.

    Karen,

I stopped by their new site.  I will need to go back and add them as one of my friend's.  I, too, can relate to what they went through as someone was able to hack one of my better blog and community forums I created through Blogger.  That is why I am now focusing on "Spaces" as my primary location of developing what I hope will become a mega community and forum for people from a diverse culture and walk of life!

I will be supporting "Flying Monkey's" and all the rest of my friend's that I am making throughout "Spaces".  Be blessed and have a wonderful day!

    Hello Karen.
I feel a kinship with you.  One big difference though....you have your shit together.  *smiles*
I was sent here by my dear friend Stephen.  Through him I was introduced to Spaces and from there a multitude of meaningful friendships have been made, that I will be forever grateful for.  Your Space is another wonderful find via my favorite Painter/Poet and I hope you'll accept my Friend request....(that would fall under your begging column)  *wink*
I was amazed that I hadn't contributed anything to the revived FM site since November!!!  I am ashamed of myself.  I know how much the site means to Stephen and I should have been more diligent.  I am going to start posting today.  The original FM was indeed something to be mourned for when it was lost and I know we can get it back to that point and beyond.  Thank you so much for your attention you have given this worthy "cause".  It's been a much needed kick in the you-know-what.  *smiles*

Rachael, I know you'll do well in anything you decide to do.  You're highly intellegent and motivated and that's a winning combo.

Stephen, my dear friend, I told you awhile ago I was going to post something regarding Flying monkeys...I'm just sorry it took me so long to do.  You're a wonderful man for being so patient and understanding about my crazy time consuming life.

Zeynep, there's no need to thank me. I do visit other people's blogs as I have time.  My problem is that I can't do it is much as I would like to. Your English is great and just keep at it and before long you'll reach pefection.

Nina, I'm glad you checked out FM.  I'm sure Stephen and the reach of his gang will welcome you and everyone else with open arms.

Hope, first let me welcome you to Abnormally Normal People and I want to say I hope you'll become a regular. Thank you for your well wishes concerning my back...it's something  that I have had to deal with over the past several years and will only get worse as I get older. Usually I can cope pretty well with the pain, but lately I've been doing stuff I shouldn't and it really has been begging me to slow down. I'm sure I'll listen like I listen to everything else! LOL

I may just have to check it out.
How are you? I'm hoping you're well and rested and living the dream.
I'm going Tuesday to change my major to R.N.
Waiting for the Sonography program to open up will just take too damn long and since I only lack a couple of pre-req's for nursing, I figured, "What the Hell? I can do it!". Wish me luck!

    LOL
